Brand Management, Public Relations & Graphic Design

I am currently the Brand Manager for the LCS Group of Companies (January 2019 – Present), a large and diversified Supply Chain Business with its Head Office in Heidelberg, Gauteng, and satellite offices/depots located throughout South Africa. It is my responsibility to manage the company's public image and reputation.

This involves overseeing the company’s website and social media, ensuring that the company’s corporate identity is well-maintained and consistent and that all communications accurately reflect the brand. I also regularly monitor our brand’s performance and review customer feedback to ensure that the company’s image is always in line with our values and goals. Additionally, I am responsible for the Public Relations department, which includes office communications, events and project planning.

I joined the LCS Group in December 2014 as Public Relations Manager. My primary objective was to recreate the company's Corporate Identity and to ensure the company's image is portrayed in a positive light.

To achieve this, my duties included the design and production of the company website, corporate identity, graphic design for presentations, tenders and proposals, social media, branding of corporate gifts, video production and photography.

My duties include but are not limited to:

• Web Design
  All aspects of creating and upkeep of our company website, using Bootstrap, HTML, Classic ASP, CSS and JavaScript framework.
• Corporate Identity
  Overseeing and designing various marketing materials for the company, including business cards, email signatures, letterheads, company profiles, leaflets, logos, and PowerPoint presentations.
• Project Planning
  I understand the intricacies of project planning when it comes to new depots, mobile office installations, or building renovations. In addition to creating vision boards and designing interiors, I also help ensure that our projects run smoothly from start to finish.
• Event Management
  Coordinating details of events such as corporate functions, charity events, year-end functions etc.
• Graphic Design
  Overseeing and creating visual concepts. Developing overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, booklets, newsletters, company calendars, certificates, entrance/information boards etc.
• Public Relations
  Managing interoffice communication, including motivation, safety, and HR newsletters. Effective communication can help to improve productivity, build better relationships among employees, and ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals.
• Branding & Advertising
  Overseeing, designing and arranging production of visual materials that represent our company, such as gazebo’s, flags, flyers, folders, posters and company vehicles (taut-liners, side tippers, tankers, bakkies etc.)
• Social Media
  Overseeing, creating and maintaining website Newsroom, Facebook, Twitter etc.
• Corporate Gifts
  Rallying ideas, purchasing and branding of corporate gifts to clients, service providers and employees.

  All aspects of creating and editing the corporate videos.

  Overseeing photoshoots for branding purposes, design work and marketing.

Book Cover - The Murder Tree

Earlier in my career I had the privilege to work with a wonderful writer called Alan Veale. I design the cover of his British novel - The Murder Tree - based on the true story of Jessie McLachlan, convicted of murder in 1862.

It can be murder digging up your family tree, especially when your ancestor is trying to kill you.
